A quick and simple way to stir fry Brussels sprouts, the Indian way.
10 Brussels sprouts
1/2 an onion , thinly sliced
2 green chilies, split and cut into 1/2 " pieces
1/2 Tbsp chopped ginger
salt as per taste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
salt as per taste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dhal
2 Tbsp grated coconut

Method:
Cut Brussel sprouts into half and slice them finely.
Heat oil in a large sauté pan, add cumin, mustard and urad dhal and fry for a minute. Add onions, ginger and green chilies and some salt and saute until onions are slightly brown. Add Brussels sprouts and stir fry for about 2 or 3 minutes. There is no need to add water. Then add the grated coconut and stir for another 1 minute. Remove from heat and served warm. I do not like to overcook my vegetable.
