Mint Cilantro Coconut Chutney

Cilantro mint chutney or hari (green) chutney is a  popular Indian dipping sauce served along side  fried snacks such as samosas, pakoras, vadas etc.. This popular green chutney can be used in a variety of different ways, as a spread on sandwiches or to flavor grilled meats.
The proportion of mint and cilantro leaves depends on your taste. In this recipe, I have used an equal amount of mint and cilantro.

Ingredients:

1 handful cilantro
1 handful fresh mint
2 Serrano or jalapeno pepper ( to taste)
3 cloves of roughly chopped garlic
1 Tbsp freshly grated coconut
1/2 tsp sugar
2 Tbsp yogurt
2 to 3 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup or less water
salt to taste

Method:

Blend all the above ingredients in a blender or processor. Add more water or yogurt if necessary to adjust the consistency of the sauce.
