Muesli is a healthier version of granola. It is enjoyed as a breakfast or as snack anytime of the day
The presence of oats, nuts, and fruits provide us with fiber, fat, protein and antioxidants. I like to eat my muesli with fresh fruits, yogurt or with milk.
Since it is easy to make, I only make about a weeks supply to maintain its freshness.
Ingredients:
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cups shaved almonds
1/2 cups shaved almonds
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup mixed dried fruits (raisins, blueberries, apricots, kiwi, figs etc), chopped roughly (no sugar added)
1 cup mixed dried fruits (raisins, blueberries, apricots, kiwi, figs etc), chopped roughly (no sugar added)
1/4 cup ground flax seeds
1/4 chia seeds
Method:
In a bowl, combine the oats, almonds, dried fruits, pumpkin seeds, ground flax and chia seeds. Combine well transfer to a sealed container.
