Cod cooked in yogurt

A very light fish curry using packet masala and yogurt.

Ingredients:
1/2  lb of cod, cut into 2 - inch pieces
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 Tbsp Shan Fish Biryani Spice ( http://shop.khanapakana.com/shan-fish-biryani-masala-spice-mix-50-grams-1-75-oz/)

Marinate fish:

Mix fish with Shan Fish Biryani Spice and red chili powder. Let marinate for 10 minutes.

Other Ingredients:

1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 large red onion, finely sliced
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
3 green chili, slit and cut into 4 pieces
1 tsp  red chili powder ( or to taste)
1/4 cup fresh dill or 1 Tbsp dried dill
Juice from 1 lime

Method:

Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat and add some oil for frying the fish first. Once hot add the fish pieces and fry until half done. Remove and set aside.

In the pan, just leave about 3 to 4 tablespoons of oil and add the sliced red onions and some  1/2 tsp of salt. Cook them until golden brown. Then add some the ginger garlic paste, the green chili and red chili powder. Saute for a minute or two.
Add a 1/4 cup of water and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Add fish and the accumulated juices to the curry and add the yogurt. Swirl the pan to combine and cook for 2 or 3 minutes on low heat. Add green chilies if you want more heat. Adjust seasoning. Sprinkle the dill and remove from heat and add the lime juice.

Serve with rice, bread, chapatti or naans.
